Fliegen schweben über einem Teller mit Zwiebelmuster, der auf einem Lautsprecher lagert. Sie können das verlockende Muster nie erreichen, denn dünne, von der Vibration des Lautsprechers bewegte Drähte halten sie in der Luft.
Flies hover over an onion pattern plate stored on a speaker. They can never reach the enticing pattern because they are held in the air by thin wire that moves with the vibration of the speaker.

Formal reduziert und nüchtern verweist diese Skulptur, wie viele von Timo Kahlen, auf alltägliche Erfahrungen und vertraute Szenarien. In diesem Fall: ein Koffer, der mit dem Klang von Feuer gefüllt ist und dessen Vibration man an seiner Außenseite fühlen kann.
Like many of the sculptures by Timo Kahlen, this work is formally reduced and sobre, alluding to everyday experiences and familiar scenarios. In this case: a suitcase filled with the sound of fire and vibrations that can be felt on the outside.
