Eine Vogelstimmenwanduhr wird im Inneren des Ausstellungsraums aufgehängt und ihre zu jeder vollen Stunde erklingenden Vogelstimmen in einen Baum auf den Platz vor dem Gebäude übertragen. Die Arbeit lehnt sich an an die Soundscape-Untersuchungen des kanadischen Komponisten und Klangökologen R. Murray Schafer. Demnach wird „der Rhythmus des Tagesablaufes durch akustische Signale bestimmt, die wir einerseits bewußt, andererseits unbewußt wahrnehmen. Mit dem Lauf der Zeit und der Jahre verändern sich diese Soundscapes, Klänge gehen verloren, neue Klänge kommen hinzu.“ Die Arbeit war Siegerprojekt ‚Kunst im öffentlichen Raum des Landes Tirol 2008‘.
A birdsong wall clock hangs in the exhibition space, and birdsong sounds every hour on the hour in a tree in the courtyard in front of the venue. The work is inspired by the investigations of soundscape conducted by Canadian composer and sound ecologist Murray Schafer, who stated that the rhythm of the passage of the day is dictated by acoustic signals that we are both consciously and subconsciously aware of. These soundscapes change over the course of the years, sounds get lost and new sounds are added. The installation was the winning public art project in the federal province of Tyrol, 2008.
